As promised, we started boarding doggies March 1st! During the month of March we had 2 little guys stay with us, both existing dog walking clients. It was really exciting for me to get to spend so much time with 2 baby boys that I have grown to love already from our walks!
Brooklyn
Brooklyn, a yorkie/maltese mix, came to stay with us while his mommy visited California. This little guy tolerated my 2 dogs (Pralenne and Jazzmin) but really just wanted to cuddle with people the whole time! He's as floppy as he looks. A little rag doll. :)
Scout
Scout is a spunky little maltese! (I was lucky to get the shot on the left!) He stayed with us for 9 whole days while his parents went to Europe (lucky!). He is an easy-going little guy and fit right in with my dogs. They spent a lot of time roaming the yard as a herd. He really likes to play and got my dogs really wound up a few times! Scout loved getting Pralenne to chase him around the coffee table. He also does this "gopher sit" and stares at you. He's pictured below doing this to Pralenne as she chews on her toy. Haha.
If you have a small, well-socialized dog, we'd love to be your dog boarder too! E
Bag 'N Wag Pet Services, LLC has been blessed with plenty of work... Too much in fact! So we have hired our first employee. Karin actually started working for us about 2 weeks ago. She is now completing most of the yard cleaning and litter box cleaning services. She has been a wonderful help! In the meantime I have been busy adjusting to that transition from self-employed to employer, getting things ready to file our taxes, and preparing to move into our first home, which closes February 1st!
Joshua and I plan to add dog boarding as a service no later than March 1st. We are very excited! More updates to come!
God bless,
RaShae
We are excited to announce that Bag 'N Wag is now officially Bag 'N Wag Pet Services, LLC! We have been in business for over a year now and incorporating the business is an exciting step toward the longevity of our business. We have been incredibly busy, as evidenced by the lack of previous posts on the blog! We are continually surprised by the success Bag 'N Wag has been blessed with and are truly thankful to our clients for choosing us to care for their pets.
God bless,
RaShae
We sent out Feedback Surveys about a month ago, and at this point assume they are all in. We are happy to have read so many positive comments regarding our service! People said things like:
"You do a fabulous job on our yard!"
"You are irreplaceable..."
"Our yard feels like a much better place to enjoy... Free from pet waste, which is a HUGE priority with small children who love playing outside!"
"Thank you RaShae for the excellent job you do taking care of my cats!"
We received some constructive criticism, mostly regarding discounts and extra services which may be good. I want each of my clients to know that I have read all of them and have considered every comment.
We cannot thank you enough for choosing us as your pet service provider, but truly I must give the glory to God. This time last year I was essentially unemployed, and now I have plenty of work and am surrounded by wonderful, sweet people who make me feel like I am contributing something important to their families! I cannot express how grateful I am!
God Bless,
RaShae

Bag 'N Wag celebrated its one year anniversary on Thursday, July 5th! Yay! We have 30 awesome clients to boast about from our first year in business. This year has been wonderful. For the first time in my life I truly LOVE what I do! I want to say thank you to our clients, and also thank you to the three local businesses who contributed coupons and goodies to our client appreciation bags: Tomlinson's, Dogadillo, and Dirty Dog.
Thank you Tomlinson's for your generous donation!
Thank you Dogadillo for providing our clients with yummy dog treats!
Thank you Dirty Dog for the coupons!
May God bless you as he has blessed my family. :)

Today I attended my first meeting as an Austin Pet Sitters Organization member. It was great to connect with other people who love pets and do what I do for a living! Turns out, though, the girl sitting across from me recently opened her pet sitting business and named it "Keep Austin Waggin'." Out of respect for a fellow pet sitter, I felt that I should change the name of my blog so she could have it!
So let me sign off a different way:
God bless,

Bag 'N Wag was pleased to participate in the Mighty Texas Dog Walk this year! We apparently fell short of the goal to beat the world record for most dogs walked, but I assure you, there were plenty of dogs there! And good thing too because the whole thing was really a fundraiser to help train service dogs.
This is an annual event, so if you have dogs, come on out next year!

So I found out this week that I have been unknowingly cleaning the litter box of Top Chef's newest winner: Paul Qui! I am so excited for him, his girl friend Deana, and their two kitties Bear and Goose! What a blessing!
They told me I could brag on them, so check out this video!

Bag 'N Wag was blessed to be the designated pooper scooper of the Austin Dog Alliance's holiday festival: the Bow Wow Express. Plenty of people showed up to decorate cookies/dog biscuits, ride the train with their dogs, get a picture with Santa, and shop at various booths. My favorite part was the dogs (and people!) dressed up in their holiday gear!
