How do I sign up for Bag 'N Wag pet services?
Please fill out the Contact Form. Once received, we will contact you to discuss your needs. Next we will set up a Meet 'N Greet at your home. This short meeting allows us to meet your pets, see your yard or home, and answer any questions you may have or voice any concerns you may have. During the Meet 'N Greet you will officially sign up for the service. Payment is often due at this time, depending upon the service required. Service will be rendered at the agreed time.
Who will perform the pet services?
I, RaShae Smith, perform all of the pet sitting and dog boarding services. If am sick, my husband does the work for me. Our employees, Veronica and Karin, perform all of the dog waste removal and litter box cleaning services.
When will I begin receiving service if I sign up for a regularly scheduled service?
We promise to come as frequently as agreed upon during the Meet 'N Greet, and service will begin as soon as possible. Your yard or litter box will be cleaned on the same day each week. Your service day depends upon your location in the city. We will come every service day with rare exceptions, such as the holidays, in which we try to complete all of our scooping early in the week to allow for time with family. Your pet sitting, dog walking, or dog boarding will begin on the day you request, with an extra fee on certain holidays.
How far in advance to do I need to book for pet sitting, dog walking, and dog boarding?
You can call us for next day service and if we are available we will do it. However, I recommend new clients to schedule at least a week in advance to give us time to meet. The farther in advance you schedule the more likely that time slot will be available.
Am I required to give Bag 'N Wag a key to my home?
If you sign up for a service which requires we enter the home or pass through a locked gate, we will certainly need a key, gate code, combination, or something. This is an issue which varies significantly with each home and for that reason, we will address it during the Meet 'N Greet. However, please note that if we arrive at your home and are unable to get in by your chosen method, you will still be charged even though services were not rendered. Your emergency contact will be called if necessary. Please note that we charge a $10 key fee if we have to make a separate trip to pick up or drop off a key, so having the key ready for the Meet 'N Greet is best.
How many pet sitting visits per day do you recommend for a dog?
The number of recommended visits depends upon the need of the client. If you are going out of town, I recommend at least 3 visits a day.
How many pet sitting visits per day do you recommend for a cat?
Cats are certainly more independent than dogs and have a litter box, so they do not need to be taken out to use the restroom. If you are going out of town, I recommend at least 1 visit a day.
What if I need to cancel my vacation pet sitting visits or dog boarding?
Please contact us at least 24 hours in advance of canceling your visit.
What if I temporarily do not need my regularly scheduled services?
You will not be charged for services you do not need. If you take your dog with you on vacation and need to skip a week of waste removal service because your dog will not be there to make messes, just let us know. We will credit your account and charge you one week's service charge less next month. You must inform us at least one day before your scheduled service day.
Will Bag 'N Wag scoop the front yard in addition to the backyard?
We primarily do backyards, because most people in Austin have fenced in yards and that is where their dog stays. In the event that you need both the back and front yards scooped, we charge $5 extra per visit.
What if I wish to request waste removal on a day other than my service day?
If a regularly scheduled waste removal client wishes to request service on a certain date (For example, your child's birthday party will be in the backyard and you want us to scoop right before the party.) you may contact us and tell us the exact day and time you need to receive the service you are regularly scheduled for. We charge $5 extra as a scheduling fee.
Will you service a home with a pet with behavior problems?
We want to provide excellent service to everyone who requests it, however we also want to be safe while working too! The Meet 'N Greet will give us a chance to meet your pets and learn about/observe any behavior problems they may have. If we honestly feel we would not be safe working with your pets, we will voice that concern. Skiddish, hyper, loud, etc. pets are usually fine. We are more concerned with violence and aggression.
Will you board a dog with behavior problems other than aggression?
We refuse to board dogs which have any history of violent behavior toward humans or other pets. We board dogs in our home and want to keep everyone and everything safe. Therefore, we also will not board a dog which is destructive, overly barky, poorly potty-trained, etc. Your dog(s)' presence in our home should not be overly disruptive. We are a family looking to offer a home away from home, but cannot sacrifice the safety and peace of our home and family to do so.
Do you work in bad weather?
We certainly do! Austin has relatively mild weather, but in the event of a severe storm, extremely heavy rain, or dangerous road conditions due to ice, we may need to reschedule. We will contact you if this is an issue.
Do you work during the holidays?
We will not offer dog waste removal or litter box cleaning on New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day. You will not be charged for services you do not receive. We pet sit, walk dogs, and offer dog boarding during the holidays, but add an extra $10 per day.
What if I do not routinely mow my yard?
If you do not mow your yard and ask us to scoop the poop, we will still come, but long grass does makes it more difficult. We will still try, but the client should understand that we may miss a few if we cannot see them.
What if I am unhappy with the service I have received?
If you feel that you have received unsatisfactory service, please contact us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will do what we can to make it right!
Do I have to sign a contract?
We will have you sign a non-committal contract at the Meet 'N Greet. You will only commit to one month at a time for regularly schedule service. The paperwork you sign will include your information, your pet(s)' information, your required service details, and information regarding your preferences of how and when service will be rendered. There is an additional Vet Form for pet sitting clients. We have an additional Dog Boarding Agreement form for dog boarding clients.
How do I pay my bill?
Bag 'N Wag is dedicated to providing superior and convenient service. Regularly scheduled clients will receive an invoice online via email through the Wells Fargo Invoicing System. Temporary or one-time clients will pay by check or cash. Dog boarding is the only service for which we require payment in the form of cash or money order.
When do I pay my bill?
If you opt for regularly scheduled service, you will receive an invoice which is due by the fifth of each month, regardless of the services you receive. If you opt for a temporary or one-time service, the payment will be due in full before the date of the scheduled visit. If you do not pay on time, you will receive a late fee of $10.
How do I permanently cancel my services?
You can cancel your service anytime. Just email us or call us and we will discontinue your services, however your satisfaction is our priority. If you have concerns or complaints, please email us at email@example.com. We will do what we can to serve you better! Please note that payments already received will not be refunded.
Bag 'N Wag provides dog waste removal, litter box cleaning, pet sitting, and dog walking services to Austin, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Pflugerville, and Manor. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. We are bonded and insured through Pet Sitters Associates, LLC.
